Purpose
At this conference, nurses will explore the physical,
spiritual, mental, and social problems that arise from fear
and anxiety and discover therapeutic nursing
interventions and biblical approaches to help people
experiencing anxiety.
Objectives
Participants will have the opportunity to:
• Describe anxiety including its sources, stages, signs
and symptoms.
• Examine the impact of anxiety on individuals and
families.
• Discuss the role of faith as an antidote for fear and
anxiety.
• Explore current treatment and therapeutic nursing
interventions for patients with anxiety.
• Apply a biblical approach to personal fear and
anxiety.

Psychiatry/addictions clinical nurse specialist, University
of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.
CNE Credit
Nurses Christian Fellowship® is an approved provider
of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses
Association Continuing Education Approval Program
Committee, an accredited approver by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Nurses may earn 5.5 contact hours of CNE credit for fulltime
attendance at the Friday conference.
