Purpose
At this conference, nurses will explore the physical, spiritual, mental, and social problems that arise from fear and anxiety and discover therapeutic nursing interventions and biblical approaches to help people experiencing anxiety.

Objectives
Participants will have the opportunity to:
1. Describe anxiety including its sources, stages, signs and symptoms.
2. Examine the impact of anxiety on individuals and families.
3. Discuss the role of faith as an antidote for fear and anxiety.
4. Explore current treatment and therapeutic nursing interventions for patients with anxiety.
5. Apply a biblical approach to personal fear and anxiety

CNE Credit
Nurses Christian Fellowship® is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Wisconsin Nurses Association Continuing Education Approval Program Committee, an accredited approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Full-time participants at this educational activity will earn 5.5 contact hours (Texas-Type I) of CNE credit.

Target Audience
This program is designed for professional nurses. However, nursing students would benefit and are welcome to attend.

Speaker
Kathie Rickman, DrPH, MSN, RN, CNS, LCDC, is a psychiatry/addictions clinical nurse specialist at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She also serves as a TPAPN Advocate. Kathie has been a nurse educator, researcher, and speaker. One of her passions is teaching nurses to care for others and themselves.

Cost and Registration
• Conference fee: $155.00
• NCF member conference discount fee: $145.00
• Full-time, undergraduate nursing student fee: $75.00
• Student NCF member fee: $70.00
• After January 10, add $10.00 to each fee

Fees include lodging (double-plus occupancy), meals, CNE credit and registration.

What to bring: bed & bath linens, blanket, Bible, casual clothes, flashlight, travel mug, soft drinks (which are not available), and money for offerings and NCF resources..
