General Information for Authors

The Journal of Christian Nursing (JCN), a publication of Nurses Christian Fellowship produced in partnership with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, is a quarterly, professional journal by and for nurses. JCN strives to help nurses view nursing through the eyes of faith; its mission is to help nurses and nursing students practice nursing from a biblically-based, Christian perspective.

Topics covered include:

• current issues and trends in nursing• spiritual care• ethics
• healing and wholeness• values• psychology and religion
• parish or faith community nursing• nursing education• personal and professional life
• healthcare disparities• missions*• case studies**

*Stories of nurses who have stepped out in faith to care for others in new or unusual ways in the U.S. or overseas.
**Patient/client experiences which promote excellence in nursing or include a faith dimension.

Priority will be given to nurse authors, although articles by non-nurses will be considered.

All manuscripts must be submitted on-line through the journal's Editorial Manager Web site at http://ncf-jcn.edmgr.com. See submission instructions under "On-line manuscript submission."

JCN works 6 - 9 months in advance. Please submit ideas, topics and/or articles well in advance of publication.
