How to get a local NCF group started

1. Pray, and ask others to pray for the development of a group.

2. Write down several initial goals you have for the group.

3. Contact several other nurses you think might be interested in helping start a group.
     • Invite them to your home
     • Share your vision over coffee/tea - and ask for their ideas
     • Share NCF materials with them
     • Choose a leader - if there isn't someone who is very obviously the one, it is probably you!
     • Contact the NCF office for names of nurses in your area who may be interested in a group.

4. Decide on a date, time and place for your first meeting. The time of day and frequency of meetings depend on the schedules of those who are interested. Monthly meetings provide continuity, through prayer partners/groups may meet weekly. NCF groups meet in homes, hospital/agency, classrooms, cafeterias or chapels - any place nurses can come together.

5. Choose materials for the Bible discussion (see resources) and obtain enough copies for each person. If you are starting with a prayer group, plan the format for your time together.
