I became a follower of Jesus Christ as a student nurse through the ministry of Nurses Christian Fellowship (NCF). Although I grew up going to church, I didn't understand that I could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As a result of tragedy within my family, I came face-to-face with life and death questions. A faculty member came along side and spent time sharing with me about Jesus and the difference He could make in my life. This faculty member helped me become involved in the NCF Bible study in our dorm and also contacted the NCF staff worker who invested in my life.
I participated in a Discipleship training program through NCF in 1974 and then served on NCF staff in eastern Pennsylvania for 2 years, 1975-77. From 2002-06, I served as a volunteer on the National Advisory committee for NCF. I believe the Lord has called me back to my spiritual roots to work with Nurses Christian Fellowship as the National Director. I am excited about what I see the Lord doing in and through NCF as a Christian voice in nursing.
Although I grew up in Michigan and am a die hard Wolverine fan, I live in NW Ohio. I am a member of St. John Mennonite Church and have enjoyed leading Bible studies through our Women’s Ministry program, have served on the Missions Committee, and as congregational secretary on the church council. I am currently involved in a Bible study as part of the Cell Group ministry of the church.
I enjoy reading, watching sports on TV, and visiting with friends and family. |
