priorities for group activities based on the components for
developing NCF student groups.
- Spending time in God's Word and applying it to our personal
lives and to nursing
- Building "community" among members by sharing
joys and needs
- Praying for one's own needs and spiritual growth, others'
needs, issues at school and in clinical areas
- Inviting new students to join the group
- Sharing the Good News of Jesus
- Meeting needs in your community
Choose
people to serve as leaders
- A leader/coordinator is needed to help move the group
forward
- Other leaders are needed to guide the group's activities
such as Bible discussion, prayer, fun times and outreach
activities
Set
a date, time and place for the meeting
- Choose a regular weekly or biweekly meeting time at lunch,
before or after class, or in the evening -- whenever most
people can et together, More than one group meeting time
may be needed to accommodate different schedules.
- Pick a classroom, dorm room, lounge, or apartment for
a meeting place
Get
the word out
- Publicize the meeting date, time, and place according
to school procedures.
- Use flyers, e-mail, posters, class announcements, or campus
newspaper.
